Stunning paint mare seemed to glide into the land of desperate whinnies, her colouring fading into black and white like a waterfall, her tense muscles rippling underneath her coat. She paraded in a circle, never flicking mud or making a false move like many horses these days did. She had all the elegance of a dressage mover, and all the energy of a country racer. But she had the looks of the ancient horses of Egypt, and that was what ran in her veins, pumping and keeping her alive to this moment. She was proud and calm, and definitely the knowledge of these two facts helped her maintain her hard-ass attitude. But deep down, she was looking for something to complete her life. A mate, and maybe more extended family, like foals. Her parents dead, her siblings chased maybe to the ends of the earth by humanity, she had been dragged kicking and screaming through all sorts of melodrama, and that had hardened her character to never care, but her soul still remained youthful and innocent. And now, with the promise of a new life, she was determined to toss aside anything she didn't need of her life and start afresh. She raised her head in an elegant sideways arc and neighed out, waiting for some company.
